This 2024 Ford F-150 came to us as a bone-stock Lariat with street tires and factory bumpers. The owner wanted a capable off-road build that could still serve as a daily driver. Here’s what we did.
Suspension
We started with a Fox 2.5 Factory Race Series coilover kit — remote reservoir, 12-position compression adjustment. Combined with Fox 2.0 IFP rear shocks and Rough Country upper control arms to correct the suspension geometry. Total lift: 4 inches. The ride is better than stock at highway speeds and dramatically more capable on dirt.
Armor & Recovery
Up front, an ARB Deluxe bumper with integrated winch mount. Behind it, a Warn ZEON XD 10-S with synthetic rope. The bumper also houses Baja Designs LP6 Pro fog pods — 10,700 lumens per side. Rock sliders from ARB protect the rocker panels during trail use.
Wheels & Tires
Method 305 NV wheels in matte black, 17×8.5 with -12mm offset. Wrapped in 35″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3s. We mounted, balanced, and aligned in-house. The combination clears at full lock and full droop with no rubbing.
Bed & Cargo
A Rough Country hard tri-fold bed cover protects the cargo area. We also sprayed a Premium-tier bedliner underneath — the same polyurethane coating we use on standalone bedliner jobs, bonded directly to bare metal with a lifetime warranty.
The Result
The truck went from stock to trail-ready in eight shop days. It now daily-drives comfortably on the San Diego freeways and handles fire roads and desert trails on the weekends. Every bolt torqued to spec, every wire run clean, every component backed by manufacturer warranty and our one-year labor guarantee.
